Squash Honeynut
What looks like a mini butternut and tastes like honey? It’s written on the front of this package, so that wasn’t really fair to your intelligence. We’ll try to make up for that intro by telling you that the Honeynut Squash is totally adorable and your life is incomplete without it. Its rind starts off a dark green, turns a golden tan and finally becomes a rich burnt orange at full maturity. Did we mention it’s delicious?
Is there anything better than a veggie that perfectly serves one? Okay, sorry, we promised to stop with the silly questions. Simply cut the Honeynut in half and bake – this practically perfect squash is just 12cm large with sweet, rich, deep orange flesh.
