Pepper Chilli Cayenne Blend
These famously hot, pungent peppers take their name from a river in Guyana – but you don’t have to live in South America to grow them. This red, yellow, purple, green and orange blend is a showstopper, and the peppers dry to the same bright colours. Yes please.
When dried to a powder or flakes, this blend serves as a multi-purpose spice. The peppers are slightly hotter than jalapenos, but not I’ve-lost-feeling-in-my-face hot. Yields are high, so you get the added bonus of feeling very artisanal by hanging peppers up in ristras for easy drying. Fact: 90% of people will quietly Google “ristras” after reading this.
