Broccoli. Raap Spring Rapini
If broccoli is a gateway veg, then Spring Rapini will cause full-blown addiction to the green stuff. It’s used widely in China and Italy, but is still considered exotic elsewhere.
This ain’t just broccoli, baby. Spring Rapini grows in the same way as its sprouting cousin, but its leaves look like turnip greens. Cook the whole plant – sprouts and leaves – as you would cook broccoli, and use in salads and classic Italian dishes.
